Upcoming community musical events/opportunities:

Show Low High School is putting on The Phantom of the Opera, April 26-27, and May 1-4th. Show times are 7 pm. You may have noticed the opera boxes built into the sides of the stage arch when we were at the auditorium for our musical. The sets and effects for this one are amazing. Some violent thematic elements, so may be best suited for older kids.

White Mountain Performing Arts is hosting its annual musical theater summer camp from June 24-June 29th. Held at Camp Grace in Pinetop, it’s an overnight camp where kids rehearse and put on a production for families at week’s end—and this year it’s Aladdin!  Ages 8-18, good for kids who enjoy stage experience and want more growth opportunities. It’s a bit pricey—$600 for the week, but of course including three meals a day, training, and other camp experiences. This organization puts out quality productions, and has great leadership.
